Denis Suarez drops a massive hint about Barcelona future after signing Arsenal deal

Denis Suarez has been an Arsenal player for less than 24 hours and appears to have hinted at his plans past this summer.

The 25-year-old has joined on loan from Barcelona and will spend the rest of the season in north London after barely featuring under Ernesto Valverde during the first half of the campaign.

Before leaving the Camp Nou, Suarez signed a contract extension with the La Liga leaders and his new deal runs until 2021 and has been designed to protect his market value, should the Gunners decide against taking up the option to buy him on a permanent basis in the summer.

But has the attacking midfielder dropped a major hint about his future already?

After his loan move to the Emirates Stadium was announced, Suarez sat down for an interview with the club’s official website and discussed his relationship with Hector Bellerin.

Responding to the question ‘Who do you already know in the Arsenal squad and who has been in touch?’ he said: “I’ve spoken to Hector.

“He wrote me a message when the rumours started to come out in the press about me joining Arsenal.

“I hope he can recover as soon as possible.

“It’s a shame that he’s injured because I’d love to play with him, but I’m sure he’ll be back soon.”

In order for Suarez to play with Bellerin at Arsenal then his loan deal must be turned into a permanent one as the latter won’t return to action until next season because of a serious knee injury.

As for the current campaign, the Spaniard has set his sights on winning the Europa League under Unai Emery once again.

“I’ve come here to play as much as possible and try to help the team qualify for the Champions League.

“I’d like to win the Europa League with Arsenal too – why not?
