“We are Back” Diamond, Rayvanny drop first song since BASATA ban was lifted

Tanzanian Artists Diamond and Rayvanny have dropped their first hit since the BASATA ban was lifted.

The duo have released their new song dubbed ‘ Tetema’ days after they got a taste of freedom.

Diamond and Rayvanny has  faced backlash after the Tanzanian Art Council prohibited them from any involvement with the music business.

This ban came right after their ‘Mwanza’ hit song that was said to be against the morals and guidelines set by the council.

The Wasafi Artists, following the ban, had shared that they had learnt a lesson from that and moving on they will be cautious about the creation of their content.

Rayvanny says that the ban had placed them in a bad situation and he thanks God that the Art Council reached to the decision of their freedom.

Immediately after the ban lift, which  was announced 7 days ago, the duo hit the studio and Diamond confirmed that they submitted their song to BASATA for review.
