Tanzanian Giants Yanga Want to sign Kariobangi Sharks Speedy Forward Harrison Mwendwa

Harrison Mwendwa entered his name into the folklore after he left Felly Mulumba for death before passing the ball between Faruk Shikhalo and score the winning goal in the Sportpesa Cup Finals on Sunday.

Both Mulumba and Shikhalo were voted as the KPL best defender and goalkeeper last season. But they no match for the tricky Kariobangi Sharks winger. Mwendwa is one of the deadly Sharks’ forward that has proofed to be a thorn of for even international defenders.

It is therefore not news, that Tanzanian giants Yanga FC, who were dumped out of the tournament by Sharks are interested in the speed star. Yanga are said to be also interested in Sharks Captain Patilla Omotto and midfielder Shaphan Oyugi.

“Yanga coach Mwinyi Zahera has requested the club management to go out of their way and rope in the players in time for the 2019/20 season,” Tanzania’s vocal sports paper, Mwanaspoti reported on Monday.

It is not clear if Kariobangi will sanction the sale of their key players especially at a time when they’re trying to build a formidable side to win the Kenya Premier League.

Yesterday’s triump, means that the club has won all the three successive finals in which they have played in. Sharks beat Sofapaka to win the FKF Cup last season. The slum boys also won the KPL Super cup in December after overcoming Gor Mahia.
