Shock as Another Unattended Box Surfaces at Odeon Just a Day after Explosion

Will Kenyans ever learn? When will Kenyan’s know how to react whenever their is an emergency?

For sometime now, Kenyans have been accused by Security agencies of improper behavior whenever there is an emergency or danger lurking somewhere.

Over the weekend, Fear and anxiety  hit Nairobi over the weekend after an Improvised Explosive Device went up in the CBD at Odeon along Latema Road. According to Nairobi’s Regional commander Philip Ndolo, two people were reported injured.

Witnesses account show that the explosion took place after a was handed a package by a stranger.

It has also been alleged that the said package could have been meant for a Public Service Vehicle situated around the Odeon bus stop.

What was even more shocking during the whole melee is the fact that Kenyans rushed to the scene of the Explosion and not even attempts by the police to drive them away worked.

Today, another unattended to box has been spotted at Odeon and as usuall Kenyans trooped to the area.

A Video has emerged online showing a large number of Kenyans struggling to get to the area without minding of the dangers and threats posed.

Meanwhile, Police are yet to identify and arrest the owner of luggage that exploded and injured two people on Saturday.

The team investigating the incident said it is relying on CCTV footage captured at the scene.

The two injured victims who include a newspaper vendor and a trolley puller were treated and discharged.

What measures should the government take to ensure there is proper crowd management in times of disaster and emergencies?
