Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi is not a happy man after President Uhuru Kenyatta mocked Chief Justice David Maraga for his angry speech on Friday.
In a series of tweets, Ahmednasir who represented Uhuru at the Supreme Court during 2017 disputed election petition said that the president was right and wrong on the judiciary.
He went on to say that President Uhuru and a few people he works with were wrong whenever they influence how people should be charged in court while insisting that he was right, when he said the judiciary was corrupt.
The Grand Mullah added that President Uhuru Kenyatta should also accept that the Executive and Members of Parliament are worse than the judiciary, because they steal money from hardworking Kenyans running into billions of shillings.
“H.E UHURU & his gang of political hoodlums are RIGHT and WRONG on the judiciary. WRONG when they interfere with how a court deals with accused persons or how it decides a case. RIGHT when they complain the judiciary is inefficient/corrupt to the core. But H.E UHURU should accept that his executive and the legislature are worse off…who steals our billions…isn’t it the Executive & Legislature Mr. President? If the Executive & Legislature stop stealing, looting the courts will be idle… @UKenyatta @WilliamsRuto @RailaOdinga @dkmaraga@JunetMohamed,” wrote Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi.

He went ahead to accuse the lawmakers of stealing public funds.

His words came after the president mocked the Chief Justice for his angry speech attacking those who have criticized the Judiciary’s effort in the fight against corruption.
When President Kenyatta rose to speak, he said his efforts to tame bloggers had been frustrated by the courts and told the CJ to move on.
“I found it interesting, I saw that the CJ was very angry especially at bloggers. I remember there was a time when we had come up with a law to stop bloggers from insulting us left, right and centre. But it was taken to courts and they ruled that it was unconstitutional (mocking laughter). I think like the rest of us you will have to get used to it and just move on,” the head of state stated amid uproar from delegates.
