Arsenal have unearthed the next Cesc Fabregas and the good news is he is already at the club!

Arsenal’s season so far has been a mixed bag so far. The capability to produce top class performances has been present (Liverpool at home, Spurs at home and Chelsea at the same venue) while the odd shit showing always lurks in the shadows(Westham away, Wolves at home and Brighton away). I excluded Liverpool away from the bad days list because it was expected.

Amidst all the changes and indifference however, one bright spark continues to sparkle, Matteo Guendouzi. The young French man is only 19 but the qualities he brings to the team makes it all to hard for Unai Emery to leave him out of any match day squad.

Though still raw and rough around the edges, Guendouzi’s early signs are that he can do it all, dribble past opponents, an eye for a pass, clever protection of the ball but most importantly, the kid has the attitude of a serious baller.

Yes, we have been here before with the likes of Jack Wilshere and Denilson but Matteo feels different. Rarely do you see him lose possession to the point where most teams now see that the best way to get the ball off him is by fouling him(look away Fellaini).

It shouldn’t be long before he starts dicating matches on his own, though his performance at Old Trafford early on in the season suggest hemay already be doing that. With Xhaka suspended , Ramsey injured and Mesut Ozil just being unavailable for whatever reason, Arsenal went to Manchester hoping that the kid holds his own, a test he passed wit flying colors.

Unai Emery’s reign as Arsenal manager has brought it’s fair share of doom and gloom to the Emirates, but I think the signing of this youngster will be one we look at ten years from now and be thankful that it happened under his watch. Should Guendouzi continue with the same trajectory, he will undoubtedly go on to become the Emirates brightest youngster since Cesc Fabregas!
