Harbourmaster ‘Determined’ To Find Cardiff New Striker And Pilot ALIVE

Captain David Barker is ‘determined’ to find Sala and the missing pilot following the disappearance of the Malibu Piper aircraft on Monday night.

Search and rescue teams are yet to definitively find anything that suggests the plane crashed into the English channel.

And journalist Nick McAvaney tweeted: “Harbourmaster and Head of the Guernsey Coast Guard, says they will continue searching for the missing plane and Cardiff FC footballer Emiliano Sala throughout today and are determined to find the pilot and passengers alive.”

The message was retweeted by Sala’s ex-girlfriend Berenice Schkair who has called on those doing the search to keep looking.

She posted a message on Instagram saying she believed he was still alive.

She wrote: “Investigate do not stop looking for it please !!! because I can not believe this accident or suspend a search for bad weather.

“I can not believe that they suspend the search until tomorrow they lose time and do nothing. I feel helpless.

“I can not stop thinking about you being well and safe.”

The Guernsey Police are currently working on four theories and suggest Sala could be alive.

In the latest update they tweeted the following message.

“We are searching based on four possibilities:

1. They have landed elsewhere but not made contact.

“2. They landed on water, have been picked up by a passing ship but not made contact.

“3. They landed on water and made it into the life raft we know was on board.

“4. The aircraft broke up on contact with the water, leaving them in the sea.

“Our search area is prioritised on the life raft option. More updates as information becomes available.”

Sala was on board the plane that departed Nantes on Monday night and was due to arrive in Cardiff.

However the plane disappeared from the radar around 8.30pm sparking a frantic search in the English channel.
