The county was hit by another tragedy on Tuesday when a minor died after being attacked by bees. The one year old boy and his two siblings were attacked in Nyangubo village on Monday evening.
Their mother, Vera Awuor, said her son’s body got swollen and had difficulty breathing before he died. She said her two surviving children have been in pain since the incident.
Assistant chief Charles Ouma said the bees attacked the children after the hive fell from a tree in a nearby farm. Ouma urged bee farmers to ensure their hives are far from people’s home.
