Time to Smile Man Utd Fans, Pogba and Martial Have some Great news

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is keen to discuss signing a new deal at the club after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revived his Old Trafford career. The Frenchman was all but certain to leave the club at the end of the season had Jose Mourinho remained in charge at the Theatre of Dreams.

The 25-year-old was desperately unhappy under Mourinho and was pushing for a move to Barcelona last summer before Ed Woodward made it clear that he would not be sold. However, Pogba’s form under Solskjaer has been sensational and he is keen to repay the club’s faith in him by signing a new deal, according to the Sun.

Pogba has two-and-a-half years to run on his existing deal at the club and the Red Devils have the option of extending that by a further 12 months. However, the club are keen to tie down their most valuable asset and Pogba can expect an increase on his current salary to move him closer to Alexis Sanchez as the club’s second highest paid player.

Pogba’s scored five goals and provided five assists in six games under Solskjaer and is enjoying the freedom provided by the 45-year-old. His form has helped put United back in contention for a top four spot with the Red Devils just three points away from Chelsea, having been 11 behind when Mourinho was sacked.
