Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has opened up about his relationship with Alexandre Lacazette noting that “We have such a good feeling between us”.
Lacazette was on the score sheet as Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-0 to cut the gap between them and the vital top-four spot to just three points. The pair almost worked a goal via a cross from Lacazette but the Gunners’ top scorer wasn’t able to get a clean connection on the ball. When Aubameyang joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund there was talk of Lacazette being frozen out of the team and that they couldn’t forge a partnership.
In an interview with the Independent, Aubameyang spoke of his relationship with Lacazette, “I love him and he’s a great guy. We have such a good feeling between us. It was really nice [playing with Lacazette]. I think we made a lot of runs, with a lot of effort for the team, and we worked a lot and of course we are happy when we play together
“When I joined Arsenal he was here and he came to me and talked to me and now we are going well, we have the same vision about football and I love him. He is a great guy. I think it is nice between us, it’s not a bad rivalry, we are friends when one is going well the other is happy and that’s the most important thing, to do well.”
