Kenyans were left in shock after it emerged that a beautiful woman and a University graduate, was married to the mastermind of the the Riverside Terror attack Ali Salim Gichunge.
Violet Kemunto, who graduated from Masinde Muliro University with a Degree in Journalism lived a lavish lifestyle with Ali Salim Gichunge at the upmarket Mucatha Estate in Kiambu. The couple paid sh. 40K for rent and ate a kilo of meat everyday.
Kenyans on social media had wondered whether Violet knew anything about the attack or was just a stupid girl who had fallen in love with a sociopath.
But fresh details have now revealed that there is no doubt Violet is a hardcore terrorist and could in fact be more dangerous than we thought,
It emerged that the couple had registered nine phone numbers. Three were registered under Gichunge and six under Kemunto .
“A quick perusal of the nine numbers shows that they were in constant communication with several phone numbers located in Somalia,” reads an affidavit filed in court.
Violet is believed to have escaped to Somalia, some days before the attack.
