Returns’ to Man Utd squad against Brighton

Alexis Sanchez and Eric Bailly are in Manchester United’s squad for their clash with Brighton on Saturday. The Chile international missed last weekend’s 1-0 win over Tottenham at Wembley due to a minor hamstring issue but has trained in full this week.

Bailly, meanwhile, has been ruled out of United’s last three matches due to suspension after he was sent off in the 4-1 victory over Bournemouth on December 30.

Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic are in United’s squad for the game against Brighton after both missed training earlier this week as their partners gave birth. However, Fred is a doubt as he was missing from United’s squad meet-up on Friday evening. The Brazilian’s wife gave birth to their son earlier this week.

Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Marouane Fellaini will miss the game through injury and are not part of the squad. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has won all six of his games in charge since taking over at United and his side could make another push to boost their top-four chances with a win at Old Trafford on Saturday.

United are currently six points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, who travel to Arsenal in Saturday’s late kick-off.
