Pogba reveals Manchester City players he admires most

Despite the rivalry between the two clubs, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed that Manchester City ace Kevin De Bruyne is one of the midfielders he loves to watch and tries to learn from.

Pogba breathed a new lease of life since the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and has scored four goals and provided four assists in his last five games. The Frenchman has hit the heights he once showed while at Juventus that persuaded Manchester United to resign him for a then world record fee of £90 million.

In an interview with Astro Sport, Pogba revealed that De Bruyne is one of the midfielders he looks up to, “I love football, I love watching players and maybe people will be surprised. When I was younger I used to look up to strikers but now I’m a midfielder I look up to midfield players.

“I learn from Yaya Toure, Xavi, Iniesta, Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick when he was there. I love to look at midfielders to make myself the Paul Pogba with all the best qualities of the other ones. Now I’m looking at Kevin de Bruyne, Modric, Toni Kroos, all those players I love looking at them and I try to learn from them. It’s always good for me.”
