It’s safe to say, it’s proving to be another disappointing season for Arsenal.

After finishing second in the 2015-16 season, things have gone downhill at the Emirates ever since.

The Gunners have failed to reach the top four since that campaign and it looks like they’re heading for the same outcome this time around.

With a new manager in Unai Emery in the dug-out, Arsenal sit fifth with six points separating them from fourth-placed Chelsea.

And the pair go head-to-head this weekend with a win for the latter undoubtedly putting to bed the Gunners’ top four hopes.

To add to the nerves already, Arsenal haven’t beaten Chelsea in the league since September 2016 and go into the game off the back of a 1-0 defeat to West Ham.

And Sky Sports pundit and former midfielder Jamie Redknapp believes the Blues are the better side, claiming that only two Arsenal players are good enough to make the Chelsea team.

Talking to the Daily Mail, Redknapp said: “At some point Emery needs to get it right from the start.

“I appreciate that he does not have the same quality as Sarri.

“How many Arsenal players would get in the Chelsea team? I’d argue only Aubameyang and Ramsey.”

To rub salt into Arsenal’s wounds, the latter is set to leave the club for Juventus in the summer.

Redknapp also added that Gunners fans should be patient with Unai Emery, saying: “Arsenal fans should be under no illusion that turning this club round will not be a quick fix.

“It has been run badly for quite some time.
