Top Female Dj Pierra Makena has today shared her experience in the industry and weighed in on the Kenyan music debate.
Pierra says that it is indeed a good debate but she feels that it is seemingly taking a different curve.
The Dj also added that what people should understand is that the campaign is not a fight but purposeful to grow each other.
She also says that people should accept that Naija and bongo music dominated the scene and remember that they can wake up to change that now.
Pierra says that people should be intentional in the conversation and work towards building the industry.
The Dj also added that all parties involved need to make sure that they stand together in this campaign and take it up with love.
Speaking on her career as a Deejay , Makena says that she started DJing around 10years ago and it was a difficult space to be in.
Being a male-dominated industry when she started, it was quite challenging but Pierra says that some male deejays supported her.
Pierra is currently among the top most and respected Deejays in the industry
