The alleged defiler of a high Kenyan profile’s daughter has accused the advocate representing the family of the victim of working parallel with the state through his lawyer over the case that was ordered to be handled in camera.

Mr Gordon Ogolla said advocate Donald Raballa had filed applications without involving the prosecution.

He also complained about not being given ample time to prepare to handle an application filed by Mr Raballa on January 3 seeking to have the matter transferred to another court.

“I am wondering why Mr Raballa is filing his own applications without involving the prosecutor. I was expecting that these applications would be filed through him,” he said.

But on his part, Mr Raballa points the finger at the court, accusing it of bias for not transferring the case to a children’s court in Nairobi.

He also said he is not at variance with the prosecution and that he is only looking after the interests of the 16-year-old girl.

Awhile back it was reported that Reuben Kiborek, who allegedly defiled a 16-year old girl at Sarova Woodlands Hotel in Nakuru, has been trying to reach out to the family to discuss the case.

But the minor’s family made an application barring Kiborek from contacting them.Kiborek, who is out on a Sh300,000 bond, was trying to make peace with the victim’s family, and settle the case out of court.
