Sad!Journalist who exposed corruption in Africa football shot dead

The fight against Corruption in African is far from over, an undercover  journalist who helped expose corruption in African football has been shot dead.

Ahmed Hussein, a Ghanaian undercover journalist who aided in exposing corruption in African football was brutally murdered  in Accra.

Hussein is said to have been part of a crew led by Anas Aremeyaw an award-winning journalist whose exposés led to the banning of some of Africa’s biggest football officials.

According to a police spokesperson who spoke to Agence France-Presse (AFP), seen by Game Yetu, Hussein was shot on the chest and neck by unknown gunmen as he was headed home.

“Sad news, but we shall not be silenced. Rest in peace, Ahmed,” tweeted Aremeyaw, confirming the death of his colleague.

It is said that Hussein had complained to authorities after pictures of his face were displayed on national television.

The chairman of one of Ghana’s media regulators Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh condemned the killing, adding that authorities should act fast to get to the persons involved.
