Police raid another house in Mombasa Dusit attackers lived in

Police have reportedly raided a house where one of the DusitD2 attackers used to live in Bondeni, Mombasa, on Thursday at 3 am.The area is inhabited by a large number of people from the Somali community.

The suspect is reported to have sneaked from Boni Forest and lived in the house for four months before shifting to Machakos and finally Kiambu.

Investigators traced the house using records retrieved from a phone recovered from the car that was used by the gunmen, a police source privy to probe said.

County police boss Johnstone Ipara did not deny or confirm the claims of the raid.”The operation is being handled from Nairobi. Let us wait and hear what they have to say,” he said.

It’s not clear what the police found in the house.

This comes after yesterday police sealed off Guango estate in Ruaka, where the vehicle said to have been used in the Riverside attack was said to have been spotted several times.

One of the terrorists is believed to have been staying in house No E9 in Guango Estate.

Neighbours are said to have called the police after recognizing his car that was used in the attack KCN.

Ali Salim Gichunge alias Idris or Farouk  lived in house number E9 with a woman we identified as Violet Kemunto Omwoyo who was arrested by Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) officers on Tuesday night, as an operation to neutralise the terrorists was ongoing at dusitD2.

The Anti-Terrorism Police Unit has been camping at the site.
