A bold youth sends CV to Sonko for vacant DG post

Since the resignation of former Nairobi County Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe early last year, the post has remained vacant with many accusing Governor Mike Sonko for failing to appoint his deputy for a period of one year now.

The governor has hence received impeachment threats, with some Kenyans threatening to take him to Court to resign for failing on the appointment.

The governor had on Friday promised to name his deputy, only to disappoint Kenyans later by failing to do so. He noted that he had considered NASA’s application to field a nominee which would require him time.

He was however condemned heavily for taking Nairobians as a ride.

However, following the prolonged vacancy on the post, a bold youth from Nairobi’s Roysambu area sent Sonko an application letter with a CV for the post.

In the letter, Obuya Kenneth Matiba described his abilities, considering himself the best for the vacant post.

He committed to cooperate with Sonko in bettering Nairobi, if given a chance.

Here reads the letter.
