Woman linked to Vioja Mahakamani actor's killing fails to take plea

A suspect linked to the murder of the local TV  drama series  Auntie Boss actor, late Jamal Gaddaffi, has been arraigned but did not take a plea.

Grace Kananu Namu, the woman who allegedly stabbed Gaddafi to death was to answer to the murder charges on Tuesday for the case to commence.

However, the Machakos High Court was told that the medical report was not available.

When Justice George Odunga asked the Prison Department why the suspect had not been taken to Mathare Hospital, he was told that the psychiatrist had gone for December holidays and could not attend to her.

On December 27, the court heard the matter and ordered that she be taken for medical assessment.The judge has ordered that that the test be done this week for plea taking on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

The late Jamal Nassul was allegedly stabbed to death by a woman friend in Mlolongo, Machakos.

A police report shows Grace Kanamu Namu is alleged to have stabbed the actor at Arks Hotel on Tuesday night after a quarrel between them.

A Good Samaritan called Athi River police station and made a report at 6.15am. It was recorded under OB No. 08/12/12/2018.

“It was reported that Jamal Nassul Gaddafi (39), was having a party at Arks Hotel near 67 Airport Hotel on the night of December 11, 2018. There was a quarrel between him and his friend Grace Kanamu Namu (40). She picked a knife and stabbed him,” the police report seen by the Star reads in part.

Nassul, who also acted in the KTN Junior series, was rushed to Shalom Community Hospital in Athi River where he was pronounced dead.
