Chelsea set a gold mine price tag for Hazard

Chelsea will apparently demand upwards of £100million to sell Eden Hazard this summer. And so they bloody should.

The Belgium star is out of contract in 18 months time and, according to The Telegraph, we are reaching the point where all parties want the matter settled. Apparently, Hazard wants a decision from Real Madrid by the end of this month whether they intend to bring him to the Bernabeu before next season.

That being the case, Real will have to stump up a nine-figure sum, despite Hazard being a year away from free agency. Christian Pulisic’s contract at Borussia Dortmund was due to expire at the same time and it cost Chelsea £58million to secure his services this month, while the Blues are unwilling to accept £35million from Bayern Munich for Callum Hudson-Odoi, who is yet to start at Premier League game. Willian’s deal is also up in 2020 and Barcelona were reported last week to have been told that

MORATA WANTS MADRID RETURN
One player Chelsea are rather more keen to shift is Alvaro Morata. He too was linked with Barca, while Sevilla were also said to be in the running.

That, according to the Evening Standard, is no longer the case. The Spanish club reportedly had a £40million offer for the striker rejected and, quite reasonably, they have opted against bidding any higher.

Anyway, Morata has apparently decided that he quite fancies Atletico Madrid. The former Real centre-forward spent time as a schoolboy with Atletico and Marca says he is willing to take a substancial pay-cut to return. Atletico, though, will have to shift someone off their books to make some room in the budget to pay for Morata.
