Arsenal Helpless With Aaron Ramsey To Sign Juventus Contract On Friday

Ramsey is all set to leave Arsenal for Juventus.

He had a secret medical on Sunday and is close to agreeing terms with the Serie A club.

What remains to be ironed out is whether Ramsey leaves Arsenal now or in the summer.

Juventus want to sign him now in order to boost their Champions League campaign.

But Arsenal are holding out for £20m to let their midfielder leave six months before his contract expires.

Juventus don’t want to pay that fee but Tuttosport claim negotiations are ongoing over a proposed January transfer.

They report that Ramsey should sign his pre-contract agreement on Friday and negotiations will then turn to whether or not a January deal can be done.  Arsenal play Chelsea on Saturday in a crunch clash in the Premier League.

Ramsey has started just three of their last 10 games and manager Unai Emery seems reserved to letting him leave.

The midfielder wanted a mega pay rise on his £110,000-a-week contract to stay at the club.

Arsenal agreed to meet Mesut Ozil’s wage demands and pay him £350,000 a week during contract talks last year.

But they will not offer Ramsey pay parity with the German.

It is claimed Juventus would not be willing to give Ramsey much of a pay rise on his current Arsenal deal.

But were the Wales international to join on a free transfer in the summer then he would likely land a massive signing-on fee.
