The former Kakamega County senator has maintained that coming up with a presidential candidate from Western Kenya needs the interventions of the two.

His statement comes amid pressure from Wetang’ula led party which has hence threatened to kick him out following his friendship with Deputy President William Ruto, who is the strongest opponent in the upcoming 2022 presidential race.

Ford Kenya Party, through a meeting held in Bungoma on Sunday urged Khalwale to leave the party in peace as they prepared for grassroots elections.
