President Kenyatta urges the nation to focus on peace and development

President Kenyatta has today given his sermon of peace and development as the major focus of the nation.

This was during the  inauguration  of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church Ridgeways into a full Parish.

Kenyatta has urged Kenyans to think about the most important thing to  Kenya which is peace and unity in the community, in the family and in the country.

The political circles have for the past few days been experiencing a push and pull between leaders.

Kenyatta however insists that Kenyans  should joinin this push for a peaceful, prosperous and united nation.

“In all that you do, strive to sow love where people sow hate, and sow unity where people sow division” he said

The President also mentioned that as Kenyans, we all know that if we pull together in the direction of peace there is nothing we cannot achieve.

He also assured the government’s  commitment to pull people together, so that people can respect each other and develop the country.

President Kenyatta was accompanied to this ceremony by the Deputy President William Ruto among other leaders.

The head of state also congratulated the church’s peace ambassadors and encouraged them to spread their efforts to cover the entire country.

Cardinal Njue, who gave a sermon during this service, asked Christians to be instruments of peace in the family, community and country, saying they should always follow the ways of the Lord.
