Play Kenyan Music is a campaign that has attracted a lot of reactions and is currently a discussion that has gone International.
Some of the top International artists who have joined in the campaign include; Nigerian Singer Mr Eazi.
The ‘Leg Over’ hit maker was brought to attention by the playlist created by Kenyan-American based Dj Poison Ivy and Victoria Kimani.
Mr Eazi took to twitter to ask his fans to listen to the playlist saying that he thinks it is lit.

As part of the conversation, some Kenyans had said that Kenyan music lacks content.
However some artists say that Kenyans just do not believe in themselves and the potential that exists in the industry.
Some of the International have been borrowing a leaf from some of the Kenyan music which clearly means that Kenyan music is not badly off.
Mr Eazi is said to have used the ‘Lamba Lolo’ phrase in his song; something that he picked from the Ethic Crew.
We have also come across a Nigerian TV Show that had Play Kenyan Music as part of their major discussion and seemingly this has attracted a lot of reaction than anyone would have thought.
Nigeria is one of the countries that have the media giving support to their music and therefore Kenya is looking forward to push for that agenda.
With this discussion there is hope that the music industry will have their concerns heard.
Already some of the radio stations have already gone all Kenyan or at least a larger percent of what they play is purely local.
