Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in a move for Sunderland goal machine Josh Maja.

Maja has been in brilliant goalscoring form this season for League One Sunderland, netting 14 times in the league already.

The young English striker is a highly-rated talent attracting a lot of interest due to his pace and composure in front of goal.

Wolves could definitely do with some attacking reinforcements at Molineux and Maja would be an intriguing signing for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

On-loan star Raul Jimenez is currently the first-choice striker at Wolves, scoring seven goals and supplying five assists in 22 games.

The Mexico international has adjusted very quickly to English football and is fitting Nuno’s system well as the lone striker.

Maja would be making a considerable step up to the Premier League if he moved in January, but bringing him in as Jimenez’s understudy could be an exciting prospect.

The Sunderland ace is nowhere near the finished article, but has the instincts of a natural goalscorer and if Wolves step up interest in him he could be a promising signing.
