Uhuru’s niece to host Artistes, presenters and Deejays meeting

It has been a week long back and forth between radio presenters and Kenyan artists, however a  meeting has been set to quell the situation.

The whole story began after Khaligrah offered to pay for 15 media personalities to go to Nigeria in a bid to show them that the country does not sell Kenyan as much as they do.

Jalang’o has now revealed that Nana Gecaga has agreed to host presenters, Djs and artistes at KICC to find a solution the the problem bedeviling Kenyan music.

“Welcome back @khaligraph_jones and thanks for starting this debate! Meanwhile am here still taking the heat…it’s been too hot for me but you know me I stand for my word and I’ll take the heat until we all agree and finally play Kenya Music 100 % , as we speak we are already organising a meeting between Djs, presenters and Artists and the music research teams from different media houses and thank to @nanawanjikugecaga she has agreed to host us at KICC,” Jalang’o announced.

#PlayKenyaBuyKenya Presenters and Djs are now ready to meet with Artists and within a week thedate will be announced…Venue is @kicc_kenya thanks to @nanawanjikugecaga ! But then again even if we meet and agree on the way forward another big stake holder is the FANS! The question is DO YOU EVEN LOVE KENYA MUSIC AND ARE OUR ARTISTS HAVING FULL SUPPORT OF THE FANS? We can play Kenya Music even 101% but without your support very little will change! 1. A Tanzania or Naija does not struggle to get 1 million views on YouTube actually they do it in hours! And in the comments are Kenyans asking for likes from 254! So a song is released and within hours before even Djs and presenters have it , it is at 1million views!! FANS FANS FANS!! 2. DJS can tell you that they don't like requests because as a dj you have your set but what happens? Dj booths are full of lists requesting bongo and Naija songs! Or they just camp there until their songs are played! 3. Concerts and events! I swear I do events all year through and it is a struggle to even sell tickets to a full Kenyan concert! MASHUJAA festival, Sawasawa festival, Jamhuri festival are all struggling! And when they decide to come a Kenyan would rather ask for a complimentary ticket but spend 20k in drinks. See the Naija events and BONGO events are sold out before even the event! So ask yourself , before you crucify presenters and Djs what are you doing to support? If you do Then click the link on my BIO to support @officialmasauti_ New song "KIBOKO" #PlayKe
