Sancho reveals advice given to ‘close friend’ Hudson-Odoi

Jadon Sancho has revealed that he and Callum Hudson-Odoi have discussed the Chelsea winger’s future.

Bayern Munich have confirmed their interest in Hudson-Odoi, and have made at least two offers for the teenager.

That they rate the 18-year-old so highly is most certainly a good news story, and the latest example of a wave of promising England youngsters being touted for moves abroad.

Hudson-Odoi could follow in the footsteps of Sancho, the country’s most successful export of the current crop, having established himself in Borussia Dortmund’s first team.

Sancho left Manchester City in summer 2017 due to his disillusionment at a lack of playing opportunities, and Hudson-Odoi may well follow a similar path.

“Me and Callum are close friends,” Sancho told Sky Sports. “We’ve played with each other at England.

“He’s the next one I would say. He’s very good, very talented, fast and good dribbling skills.

“I have told him the Bundesliga is a nice league. I just told him to do whatever is best for him and whatever makes him feel comfortable.”
