After a fine start to his tenure as Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has received plaudits form Pep Guardiola admitting that the Norwegian’s start has been better than his at Manchester City.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has transformed Manchester United barely a month after replacing the sacked Jose Mourinho. The former United striker has seen his side go on a five-game winning streak and have reduced the gap between them and a UEFA Champions League slot from 11 to six.
Guardiola admitted that Solskjaer’s start has been far better than his, “His start is much better than mine, I lost my first game and drew the second [after being appointed in 2016].
“He won all the games. He is a young manager, getting incredible results. I saw a few minutes of games they played and they played good.
“But it is not my business to talk about other opponents, we have a tough game around the corner against Wolves [in the Premier League on Monday night].”
