Chelsea flop offered to two legendary football clubs

Chelsea flop Alvaro Morata has been offered to Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, according to reports.

The Spain striker is likely to head out on loan if the Blues sign Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus this month.

Morata, who joined Chelsea in a £60million move from Real Madrid in July 2017, has been in and out of Maurizio Sarri’s team this season. His game time has been restricted by Eden Hazard and Olivier Giroud.

And Higuain’s arrival could push Morata further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

Spanish news outlet AS claim the 26-year-old could move to either Atletico Madrid or Barcelona before the January transfer window closes.

When asked about Atletico’s interest, manager Diego Simeone told journalists he ‘could neither confirm or deny’‘ the rumour.

Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, Roma, Sevilla and AC Milan are also believed to be keeping tabs on him.

Barcelona’s Munir El Haddadi is set to leave the club this month – and Morata has been touted as a possible replacement.

Chelsea are unwilling to pay any percentage of the striker’s hefty wages, which could prove to be a problem when negotiating his exit.
