Stay alert!Larry imbo on the run

Former NTV news anchor and Trend host Larry Madowo has sent an urgent warning to Kenyans to be cautious of conmen using his name.

According to a post in his social media account, Madowo revealed that there were at least eight pseudo-Facebook accounts purporting to be him.

In an announcement on Instagram, Larry said that he would never ask for money from anyone and he does not run any money making schemes.

“⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ None of these are my Facebook accounts. I only have one verified public page. I don’t run any money-making schemes and I would never ask you for money. I also don’t write clickbait content. Please unfriend and report them.”He wrote.

He went on to urge his followers to report the scammers immediately and report any such case.

Furthermore, he reiterated that any content he posted on his real account was legitimate and did not contain false information.

Prior to his resignation from NTV in March 2018, he hosted a popular Friday night show, The Trend, and also wrote a weekly column in the Daily Nation.

His warning comes barely a week after Deputy President William Ruto’s wife  Rachel warned the public to be wary of conmen using her name to steal from Kenyans.
