Jalango throws the ball to fans in the bid to support Kenyan Music

Milele FM Radio Presenter Jalango has today thrown the hot ball to fans asking them to support Kenyan Music.

The ongoing debate in the music Industry now calls upon all the involved to work together and boost the music industry.

Jalango has questioned whether Kenyans love local music and asked them what they are doing to support the same.

He adds that Nigerian and Tanzanian artists who are the main competition have their songs hit million views even before they are played on radio.

Jalango also throws in hard facts saying that getting tickets for Kenyan concerts to sell is usually difficult since some people prefer spending money on alcohol during festivals yet they complain about the entry fee.

Comparing that attitude to what happens in other countries, the truth is that  most International concerts get their tickets sold out even before the big days.

Citing examples, this is what he had to say.

Concerts and events! I swear I do events all year through and it is a struggle to even sell tickets to a full Kenyan concert! MASHUJAA festival, Sawasawa festival, Jamhuri festival are all struggling! And when they decide to come a Kenyan would rather ask for a complimentary ticket but spend 20k in drinks. See the Naija events and BONGO events are sold out before even the event!
So ask yourself , before you crucify presenters and Djs what are you doing to support?
