Police in Kirinyaga County have arrested three suspected criminals in Gichugu following a robbery incident.
The incident is said to have taken place at Githure Trading Centre.
Kirinyaga AP commander Chacha Marwa said residents cornered the three suspects before informing police officers based at Githure Chiefs Camp.
On Thursday morning, officers from Kianyaga Police Station led by Gichugu OCPD Hussein Hassan confirmed that the suspects also robbed another trader of Ksh 1.8 million.
The second robbery reportedly occurred at Manyatta Trading Centre in Embu county.
Other wanted criminals who have also been arrested today are the brutal defilers of the Homa Bay minor.
Police in Homa Bay County have arrested eight suspects who are connected with the defilement of a 13-year-old girl at Shauri Yako estate in Homa Bay town last week.
The minor, a class eight pupil was defiled by the suspects who also cut her genitals with a razor blade at their rental house.
The suspects whose identities are still with held by police were arrested on Wednesday within Homa Bay town in connection with the alleged crime that happened last week.
