Ronaldo speaks on retirement

Juventus attacker Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he does not know if he will return Sporting Lisbon when his contract at Juventus ends but said he won’t be retiring anytime soon.   The Portuguese started his professional career with the Lisbon-based outfit before leaving his home nation for Manchester United back in 2003.

Six years later the forward was on the move again, this time signing for Real Madrid, where he won the Ballon d’Or and Champions League four times each. Ronaldo decided he needed a new challenge this summer and after being courted by a number of top teams in Europe signed for Max Allegri’s Juventus. The Old Lady splashed out £100million on the 33-year-old, seeing him as the key to them winning a first Champions League since 1996.

Things are going well for Juventus this season, with the Italian giants topping Serie A and in the knock-out stages of the Champions League.  Ronaldo is very content in Turin, but has not ruled out a move back to where it all began once he has achieved all he can in Italy. As reported by Fox Sports, Ronaldo said: “Will I go back to Sporting like Nani?

“In football you never know. It was the right decision to leave the national [team] momentarily, but I’ll be back in 2019.”Everyone in Turin welcomed me in a fantastic way. We’re all feeling very good. “I don’t know when my career will end, but I’m fine and I want to keep going for many more years.”
