Looks like things are totally falling apart for Meru Senator Mithika Linturi who has suffered yet another blow after the High Court directed him not to withdraw, transfer or interfere with monies held in several bank accounts.
The bank accounts include those at Cooperative Bank, Family Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Equity Bank.Justice John Onyiego issued the orders were issued on Wednesday.
Other orders that the court issued now restrain the Senator and his agents from interfering with six matrimonial properties which include Kajiado/Kitengela /25310 among others.
A court on Monday ruled to deny Meru Senator Mithika Linturi from accessing his Runda residence in Nairobi.
The ruling made by the court reinstated the orders after a successful petition by his wife Maryanne Keitany.
The orders had been lifted in December last year after Keitany failed to appear in court for the case.
Linturi through his lawyer Muthomi Thiankolu appealed against the ruling made by senior resident magistrate Isaac Orenge that gave Kitanyi access to the residence to collect her belongings.
In October 2018, the court had barred the Senator from even being close to the house after his wife had obtained the orders.
Keitany had made a formal complaint to the police in November after she claimed that the husband had threatened to shoot her dead after a domestic quarrel.
The Meru Senator was questioned by the DCI detectives but denied that he had been asked to record a statement.
