Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has hold a meeting with the new police commanders to discuss how they are going to work to ensure that the country is intact and mwananchi’s security is guaranteed at all times.
Speaking in Mombasa with the company of the new commanders who are:
- Philip Ndolo- Nairobi
- Judy Ndenda- Central
- Edward Mwamburi- Rift Valley
- Marcus Ochola- Coast
- Eunice Kihiko- Eastern
- Paul Soi- North Eastern
- Rashid Yakub- Western
- Dr Vincent Makokha-Nyanza.
CS Fred Matiang’i assured the citizens how the department is prepared an ready to continue with the good track record of ensuring security is a top priority.
The meeting was held in Mombasa amidst claims of increasing number of criminal activities in the region despite it being the hotbed of tourists.
The CS Fred Matiang’i also insisted about the issue of 100% high school transition. He vested the mandate to the newly appointed police commanders across all regions to ensure that it becomes successful with the help of Chiefs.He approved the use of Chief’s Barazas to ensure that parents who neglect their duties of taking children to school are faced with the long arm of the law.
