There exists a gang in Nairobi who works in groups and waits in the parking lot of an entertainment joint and once it identifies a target, two women approach the reveller when he orders a drink or food. After spending time and earning your trust , they spike your drink and wait.
The men then go for the reveller once he is drugged. The gang takes the victim’s car keys and drives away with him.The comatose victims are then dumped on the road.
Revellers without cars are usually lured or dragged to a lodging and robbed, police said.
Police have launched investigations in an incident in which a senior detective was robbed of his gun in Nairobi’s Utawala.
The senior superintendent of police based in Nairobi Area Command was reportedly with his friends at a club and later felt dizzy and fell asleep while driving home.
He parked his car on the roadside and took a nap, but when he woke up his pistol with 15 bullets was missing. This was almost 10 hours later.
The incident happened on Saturday night. He was found in the car on Sunday.
A search conducted nearby did not help find the weapon.
Police say they are investigating the incident with an aim of recovering the weapon and taking necessary action.
Police suspect those behind the incident drugged the officer and trailed him to where he was grounded.
