Late last year, Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz caused uproar after he confessed his love for Kenyan beauty, Tanasha Oketch and set a date to marry her.
However allegations swirl online that the love between the pair was only founded on a need to hype the singer’s Wasafi shows in Kenya last December.
Pundits argue that now that the festivals, which were sponsored by Kenya’s NRG Radio, where Tanasha works, are over, it is time “to go back to factory settings”, meaning Platnumz is a single man again!
Speaking recently to Wasafi TV, Diamond said he is changing his wedding date to the Kenyan beauty from February 14 to a later date because he “wants the ceremony to be grand, and one that will be attended by ‘many people’.”
“My wedding was supposed to be held on Valentine’s Day February 14 but we have postponed it. Many people are supposed to attend the ceremony. I expect the likes of Rick Ross, among other high-profile entertainment figures, to be in attendance,” said Diamond.
The fact that the singer has not announced the fresh wedding date raises eyebrows, according to sections online.
In November last year, Diamond confirmed that he was in a relationship with Tanasha Oketch, an announcement that caught many of his followers by surprise.
Some speculated that the relationship was born out of an agreement NRG had signed with Wasafi team; and that the ‘relationship’ was to last the period in which the radio station sponsored the artistes shows in Kenya.
