AFC Leopards hooligans who attacked referee George Mwai on allegations of poor officiating have been put on notice and their life as stewards may be short-lived after they were caught on camera.
The president of the Football Kenya Federation [FKF] Nick Mwendwa has assured that the hooligans will be dealt with after being identified as soon as possible. Mwendwa assured that he will be unrelenting in pursuit of the guys.
Hooligans ! This time we will get you. Mmezoea vibaya, you are back at it. You have no right to win a football game, everyone competing does. I wonder if have families and children. Leopards toeni hao watu this time, its your responsibility.

Shameful act by @AFCLeopards fans and officials trying to return football to it's dark days. Hope @TheOfficialKPL and @Football_Kenya will bring justice to the referee and put those hooligans in their place. pic.twitter.com/XST874jpGS

Leopards, tusaidiane and let's make it fast. Produce these shameless fellows beating a referee in broad daylight. I am appalled because for a while this behaviour had gone. It's your home game and you have to do your job . No need to have stewards if you cannot. Very frastrating

However, some fans still believe that the referees should handle officiating with keenness to avoid being on the wrong side with the fans.
Referee George Mwai was today beaten after the match between AFC Leopards and Nzoia Sugar. I do not in any way support violence but it's time FKF acted. These referees are getting away with AWFUL officiating every week. pic.twitter.com/hcTOSx2wui
