Days after being after Tanzanian Bongo artist Omary Nyembo popularly known as Ommy Dimpoz discharged from a German hospital where he was admitted after his health condition worsened.
There have been rumours which had gone into over drive with reports the Nainai hitmaker had succumbed to his ailment. The rumour spread fast on social media with many sending in their condolences messages to the ”fallen” star.
However, his management, through Rockstar4000 founder Seven Mosha confirmed to Dimpoz’s fans he was alive and recuperating after arriving from Germany where he had been flown for treatment.
Dimpoz’s management termed the death claims as mere rumours and urged the singer’s fans to ignore them at all cost.
Ommy was flown to German about two weeks ago after his throat related ailment worsened but he was discharged from the University Hospital of Dusseldorf late last month after governor Hassan Jiho settled his hospital bills.
According to his father Faraji Nyembo spoke to the press thanking his fans and friends for praying for his son as well as thanking Joho for coming through for them and helping them pay for the hospital bills.
“Mwanangu sasa anaendelea vizuri kwani upasuaji aliofanyiwa umempa nafuu na hivi ninavyoongea na wewe ameruhusiwa kutoka hospitali nchini Ujerumani na yupo Kenya anakofanyia kliniki yake akisimamiwa na meya wa Mombasa ambaye ndiye anayempatia msaada wa matibabu.”said Mr Nyembo
Mr Nyembo further revealed that the singer underwent another throat surgery while in Germany this is after he had a similar one in June at Sandton, South Africa in a 12 hour procedure which involved opening up his throat.
After the surgery, Ommy remained in comma for nine days before gaining consciousness.
This was the second time Ommy was admitted in hospital. In april he was admitted in South Africa and came out well and strong.
