Aaron Ramsey Could Be Replaced By Barcelona And Juventus Stars

The Welshman has reportedly accepted a deal to move to Juventus next summer. Ramsey leaves north London after 11 seasons, where he has made over 350 appearances.

The pressure is now on Unai Emery to find a replacement for the 28-year-old.

But host of popular fan show AFTV, Robbie Lyle, believes there are four options available to the Gunners.

Top of the list is Sami Khedira, Juventus’ defensive midfielder.

“He’s 31, a German international. We were linked with him for years and years,” Robbie said.

“Just after we signed Mesut Ozil, lots of people were suggesting we signed him in that defensive midfielder position.

“And a lot of rumours are suggesting if Arsenal let Ramsey go this month, Khedira will go the other way.

“A couple of years ago, I would have thought that a good deal but it feels like a castoff.”

Another name is Barcelona’s Denis Suarez, who has also piqued the interest of London rivals Chelsea.

“He looks to be on his way out of Barcelona this month,” Robbie added.

“Suarez has made it clear he wants more playing time. He’s hardly figured for Barcelona this season.

“If Ramsey’s on the way out, these are the sort of players we need to consider.

“He’s under the radar but if he went to a club that showed him the full love, he could blossom.”

Emery’s former player at Sevilla – Ever Banega – who is reportedly close to an £18m move to the Emirates, is another option.

Robbie continued: “He’s a really top player but again, he’s 30.

“I’m not sure about the age thing but he’s worked with Unai Emery before.

“Banega is a family guy but rumours are coming out of Spain he is willing to leave.”

And the AFTV host finished with Nicolas Pepe, who the Gunners are trying to buy.

Robbie said: “This is an interesting one.

“He’s been playing brilliant for Lille this season, who are second in the French league.

“He’s valued at 50m euros but he has scored 12 goals this season.

“Lille say he won’t be sold in January but Arsenal really want him.”

This comes as a football finance expert suggested Mesut Ozil could head to Manchester United in a swap deal with Alexis Sanchez.
