Mombasa organizes 10 day Festival to revamp tourism activities

One of the Key sources of revenue in Mombasa county is on the tourism sector.

In the efforts to keep these activities alive and attract tourists, the Mombasa Count is said to organized a 10 day day Festival at the Shelly Beach in Likoni

The main intention of the festival was  to revamp tourism activities specifically  at the Shelly Beach in Likoni Sub-County.

The Department of Trade, Tourism and Investment partnered with local community groups to make this festival a reality.

Apart from the 10 day festival, the efforts by the Mombasa Ali Hassan Joho in  line with the tourism sector  are relevant and clear.

As the festive season kicked in, he is among the few governors that publicly announced that people from different parts were welcomed to tour the county.

The result of this announcement was thousands of people who were spotted at the sand beaches as part of their ‘ Mombasa Raha’ experience.

Mombasa remains to be one of the counties that many always dream to go to  over the holidays.

Apart from Mombasa county,  kilifi is also among the counties that have woken up to the realization that  the tourism sector can be a good catch.

The County Government of Kilifi made giant strides in revamping the tourism industry & putting Kilifi on the international map not only as a beach holiday destination, but also as a full culture and making it one of the best destinations in the world.

This was done by the unveiling of an app through which one can easily identify the sites to visit in different parts of the coastal region including; Malindi, Kilifi, Watamu, Kikambala and Mtwapa.

The coastal region is seemingly working on their strengths as counties to ensure that they utilize their resources as it should be.
