Detectives have arrested one person on suspicion to be behind the robbery of Yatin Chain of Supermarkets in Vihiga where Ksh.1.5 million went missing.
Confirming the incident, Vihiga County OCPD Justin Nyagah said 23-year-old Graham Ichaminya was arrested at his home in Mbale.
The police boss revealed that notes amounting to Ksh.1.2 million were discovered.
“The owner of the supermarket reported the incident after he found the safe broken and Ksh.1.5 million shillings missing. He handed over the CCTV camera and we are carrying out our investigations into the matter,” said the OCPD.
Mr. Nyagah identified the suspect as a security guard at Yatin supermarket.The man is currently being held at Vihiga Police Station.
