Dennis Oliech finally fulfills his late mother’s wish

It was a wish of former Harambe Stars Denis Oliech’s mother that at some point, he plays for Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia.

“My mother always wanted me to play for Gor Mahia and she told me before I retire officially from football, I have to play for this club. My father as well wished for me to play for Gor and since it was their dream and wish, I have to fulfil it,” Oliech revealed in an exclusive interview with one of the local radio stations after his first training with Gor Mahia a few weeks ago.

He added; “I am pleased that this is finally happening just pending the final bit of paperwork and this is my gift to them. The first goal will be dedicated to them.”

Oliech was extremely close with his late mother Mary Auma who passed on in July after a battle bravely borne with cancer and the 33-year old says it gives him extreme pleasure to be fulfilling her biggest wish and joining the 17-time champions.

Today, Oliech has fulfilled the wish by acquiring his much anticipated for signing at Gor Mahia. He will be playing for the Kenya premier league side for two years, earning a salary of Ksh. 350,000.

He has become the most expensive player in the history of Kenya Premier league.
