Kenyan Artist Arrow Bwoy has shared his experience in working with the Wasafi Team during the Wasafi Festival in Mombasa.
Speaking during an interview on Mseto East Africa, Arrow Bwoy says that they took the invitation to represent Kenya during the festival positively.
” We got the invitation and it was simply okay because these are fellow artists who are trying to push their music to the next level.
It is all about bringing East Africa together and sharing of ideas. He also saw it as a platform to network with other artists and also maybe this might result to other collabos he said.
Speaking on his performance during the festival, he speaks of stage fright but he says that whenever he gets on stage, he takes it as meeting with his family.
Arrow Bwoy also added that the confidence he has for his music and the love and support from fans is what keeps him going.
Speaking on Kenyans supporting their very own, the artist mentioned that Kenya is still not there yet although they are trying, more needs to be done.
He encouraged artists to organize events from within and fans should not wait for other artists from the borders to host shows for them to turn up.
Arrow Bwoy also says that the music industry is a free space and Kenyans should stop the attitude of giving negative publicity to songs but instead choose what they want to listen to.
