VIDEO: Kenya Police challenged to take up Nigeria’s initiative to end corruption

The Kenya we want is a corruption free country where police take no bribe and are only strict governed and work in accordance to the law.

Equal treatment and not the law used only against the less fortunate. The National Police system has been on the limelight since the complaints by Kenyans that they extort money from citizens.

The picture that Kenya paints to the rest of the world on their National Police service is the corrupt state and less efforts in initiatives to curb crime or maintain peace.

Interior CS Fred Matiangi had warned Kenyans over painting this picture but instead make reports to the authorities in charge.

The reality however remains that the dissatisfaction by citizens needs to be put into consideration as they bring up initiatives to clean up the system.

A clean system however requires self driven responsibility by the police as well as the citizens.

Kenya has been challenged to follow suit after a video emerged of how the police in Nigeria are aiming and placing effort in the fight for a corrupt free state.

Currently, bail in Nigeria is free and the police go an extra mile to air advertisement that push the end corruption agenda as well as educate people on the contacts to reach out to in cases of any complaints.

Kenya also recently launched a digital system and contacts for a similar purpose but there is need for more to be done.
