Transfer news : Victor Wanyama set for Tottenham exit

Image result for victor wanyamaTOTTENHAM could rustle up a £75million transfer warchest by flogging fringe players Mousa Dembele, Victor Wanyama, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and Vincent Janssen, according to reports.

The Spurs squad was not reinforced in the summer but is challenging for the title again under mastermind boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The Daily Mail claim the four reserves are the most likely names to be sacrificed as they fine tune their in-form group for an assault on the title.

Dembele is wanted by Monaco boss and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, according to reports.

The former Fulham man has endured a stop-start season and is currently sidelined through an ankle injury that will keep him out until early 2019.

The 31-year-old is letting his Tottenham contract run down to the end of this season and is approaching the final bumper contract of his career.

Wanyama does not want to leave but has been hindered by knee injuries and has been discussed by West Ham, among others.

Perhaps the time has come for him to change his environment, and Everton could be a nice change.

He and Idrissa Gueye would make a steely pairing in the engine room and allow the likes of Andre Gomes and Gylfi Sigurdsson to roam forwards.

Doucoure would be the ideal signing, but Wanyama certainly wouldn’t be a bad alternative.

Nkoudou joined for £11m but has failed to make any impact and even flopped on a brief loan spell with Burnley.

Janssen looked a reliable back-up to Harry Kane when he joined with a glowing reputation from Holland but he has also been shipped out on loan and is currently recovering from foot surgery.
