Many prefer a quiet time and this is just not it. Everyone wishes to go to the coast and interesting how they all opt to go during the festive season.

The streets in Nairobi remain with countable people and a rare calmness on the roads with less traffic is something that others enjoy during this period.

As the festive season approached, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho sent out a public invitation for people to tour Mombasa for a unique holiday experience.

Well seems like the memo was honored by all who received it. Mombasa residents complain that the beaches are crowded at this period and limits some from having the kind of fun they are used to.

Some suggested that people should consider going during off peak seasons if they are appreciate a silent environment more.

The situation is similar from the public beaches to the private beaches. Beyond Mombasa, the counties that have beaches as well like Kilifi, Malindi and Lamu might as well be crowded.

The overcrowding is linked to some of the beaches having been made private and some local tourists are vouching for  all beaches to be made public.

Apart from overcrowding, other issues come into consideration, the overwhelming feeling at the sight of the waters could turn to be a hazard.

Many cases are reported of people who ended up drowning. Holiday gone sour and  before going for these vacations there is need of the tourists being warned about such instances.
