Kenyan Rapper Khaligraph Jones has spoken on his experience in working with the Wasafi team.

The OG said that he felt really nice when he was invited to be part of the Mombasa Wasafi Festival that went down  on the 26th December.

The Wasafi Festival  saw the WCB stars perform along side local artists in a  badass concert that was one  of the biggest highlight of the Festival. From the crowd, to the reception as well as the performance by the artists.

Khaligraph said that  this gave him a great challenge since it triggered the desire to do something similar; take his festival beyond the borders.

Kenyans had complained that from the turn up at the WCB festival, it was enough  proof that they support international artists more than they do with their Kenyan artists.

In response to this concern, Khaligraph Jones said that Kenyans have improved in that sector judging from the reception he got while he was on stage.

According to Khaligraph Jones , he said that usually, crowds are different and  therefore, he always gives his best.

Kenyans have been faulted many times  for trolling instead of supporting local artists but Khaligraph says that the only way to grow Kenyan music is for people to come together and not to point blame to some parties.

“The Wasafi Festival coming to Kenya shows that the WCB team is doing the real hustle and has given him a great motivation and helps him to plan ahead of 2019” he added

He also called upon Kenyans to support each other and that is what will propel the music industry industry on a level that we all want it to be.
