A Boxing Day party organised by Uganda’s Kyadondo MP Robert Kyagulani famously known as Bobi Wine might not go down as planned after police disrupted preparations and arrested organizers.
It is understood that Uganda police raided One Lover Beach Busabala where the celebrity musician now politician, was set to perform Wednesday, December 26. In a statement, Wine said that a contingent of police surrounded the premise on the eve of Boxing Day and arrested those who were setting up the stage.
“Right now dozens of soldiers, police officers have surrounded my premises at One Love Beach Busabala where we were organising a show on Boxing Day. Some staff arrested,sound and stage engineers being ordered to pull everything down despite the parliamentary resolution last week,” he tweeted.
On Christmas Day, the combative lawmaker was similarly blocked from attending a party at Gaba beach. Wine said that the police descended at the beach immediately they got wind that he was going to perform at the event.

Earlier today,a christmas show that had been cleared by police at Gaba beach was disrupted and blocked by soldiers and police when they learnt that I was going to perform.This happened despite parliamentary resolution last week declaring that blocking my shows is unconstitutional
